Note: All music and lyrics are written and performed by Annie K. Annie had her show biz appetite whetted at a very early age, when her older brother, Bill, formed a band in the sixties called "The Bingham Trio" and she decided she wanted to be like her big brother. Annie's Mother gave her, her first guitar on her 12th birthday and she's been singing and playing ever since.
While still in her teens, she performed with a Bluegrass Duo and did a single act at weddings and parties.
Finally her chosen vocation took her on the road, as she performed at various night clubs and lounges throughout the nation. Traveling across country and playing the so called Holiday Inn Circuit, proved to be good experience for Anne, not only to her perfect musical skills, but it also gave her a chance to see and learn first hand things she might other wise have only read about in schoolbooks.
One of the highlights of her career was being selected to perform her solo act at the 1982 Worlds' Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee, which was an honor extended to a few. Anne's exceptional abilities and talent resulted in this culmination so soon in her young career.
Anne's repertoire includes country, folk, bluegrass, southern rock, and standard classics. She is just as much at home playing her mandolin as well as she is with the electric and acoustic guitars. Anne's vocal renditions have a high quality of precision and warmth and offers something for everyone.
All this adds up to a neat package and a happy combination with Annie K.
