BACKALLEY JUKEBOX

“Backalley Jukebox” is the world’s largest, filthiest and first touring queer music video program which debuted at the 2006 InsideOut Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in Toronto, Canada to a sold out audience followed by the biggest party in the festival's history complete with queer bands and dj's. The program is unique in its content with videos made by queer artists crossing a large spectrum of genres from queer rappers to bent electro rockers. With this Volume 1 of Backalley Jukebox the hope is to set the stage in order to continue to showcase the work of queer musicians in venues and screenings across the world helping fuel the now exploding scene developing around this revolutionary community of working artists.

I like every kind of body but alas boys and men hold a special place in my heart. They are my dirty fun. You can wrestle them and be rough and ravage them when they are not looking. That's why I played football and rugby for so many years. Oh Lockerooms. Oh Bulges. I love my bicycles to death whether it's my BMX or faggoty ten speed. Outside is where I like to be in the summer with my big deck, new BBQ and urban garden, on the roof drinking beer or at the beach relaxing . I also can't stand to be away from the air conditioned movie theatre for too long...Always game for a movie buddy. I make films on video, super 8 and 16mm but I want to make more because...more is better. I have two different coloured eyes like David Bowie which is the best way to pick anybody up. I also have a small birthmark on my cheek. Being different is key.

I write zine reviews and stuff for Broken Pencil, the best guide to D.I.Y. Culture and writing on the planet. It's a fun damn magazine this one is.
I was fortunate enough to be a part of the filming of Shortbus, John Cameron Mitchell's Post 9/11 NYC Relationship/Sex Opus. If you blink you miss me but i'm in there a few times (see above), I even screwed around in the orgy scene wearing Buffalo horns and it was fantastic. I'm just using this as an excuse to prop the movie, JCM is an amazing guy on top of being a great director so see this film already if you haven't and look for more of my Sextra work on the dvd.
