I'm considered easy-going, passionate and a good listener. I appreciate good conversations about a variety of topics. I enjoy someone with a point of view, not someone who's a pushover. What you have to say IS important to me. Optimism, integrity and compassion are three of my strengths and I value those traits in others.

My Interests

Traveling (have visited most of the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and western Europe), live music (I play drums), current events/politics, the N.F.L.

I'd like to meet:

I'm interested in meeting a lady who is young at heart, self-confident and optimistic. She also enjoys traveling, good music & food, football and (most importantly!) life with minimal "drama."

Music:

I have eclectic tastes. At my house, you might hear anything from Motown to D'Angelo, Weather Report to the Beatles, Marley to Stravinsky or some mixture of all of the above.

Movies:

Some favorites: The Godfather, Malcolm X, Glengarry Glen Ross, Lawrence of Arabia, almost anything by the Coen brothers, Sidney Lumet, Martin Scorcese, Hitchcock. I slept through Star Wars but was glued to Fargo.

Television:

N.F.L., N.B.A., news, politics, movies

Books:

I go through spurts, reading like mad for a few months, then not reading for several more. Currently reading "The Power of Now" by Eckhardt Tolle.

Heroes:

Martin Luther King & Ghandi. Second tier would be Miles Davis.

The Election

The thought that Bush could be around for another 4 years, enabling him to appoint (2) Supreme Court Justices, should scare us all to death!!
