Well, besides Letterman, Sedaris, and Stewart, I like to meet people who are smart & funny with an artistic or creative nature. People who don't own weapons, are wise, open-minded, liberal, kind, unselfish, and confident with an interest in music, movies, photography, and me!
Guster, Calexico, Radiohead, Dandy Warhols, New Radicals, Gomez, Elvis Costello
Ah, there are so many. I like clever, darkly humorous movies like Pulp Fiction and Being John Malkovich. And then one of my all time favorites is To Kill A Mockingbird. Is Atticus not the greatest? And in between are High Fidelity, Harold & Maude,Vanilla Sky, Lost in Translation, Office Space...
24!! Arrested Development... shame it's gone away. Desperate Housewives, Keith Olberman, Daily Show.
I love getting stuck into a good book, but it doesn't happen often. David Sedaris and Kurt Vonnegut keep me focused, but mostly when reading my mind starts wandering or I fall asleep. The New Yorker is good for essays & short stories. OC Weekly has good writers with strong delivery. Though I've heard it said that the reporters are full of themselves, I love their slanted no-holds-barred journalism. Magic!
Letterman, my friend Michael, my mom, my daughter
