Has blessed the gospel community for years her God-given skills as an anointed singer, songwriter, actress, and composer have allowed her to perform in such plays as Momma I Want to Sing, Gospel at Colonus featuring Clarence Fountain and the Five Blind Boys of Alabama, Sing Out Sweet Gospel, Graffiti Blues by Bob Dylan, The Many Faces of Robin Hodge Williams, and Somebody Aught to Tell God Thank You featuring Vicki Winans. She has also performed with such distinguished artists as Lawrence Matthews, Edwin Hawkins, Tramaine Hawkins, Rance Allen, Shirley Caesar, Patti Labelle, Dorinda Clark, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Daryl Cooley, Karen Clark Sheard, Kim Burrell, and many others.Mrs. Williams has two CD Releases: Show Me and Anointed Me, and has also been featured in such gospel projects and Lawrence Matthews and Friends singing “Savior Do Not Pass Me By”, Greater Temple Church of God in Christ as the composer and lead vocalist of “Saved”, the Well Watered Project singing “Now Unto Him”, and Edwin Hawkins’ Music and Arts Seminar Project singing “Jesus Loves Me”. Her CDs feature such hits as “Show Me”, “Lord We Praise Your Name”, “Tell it”, “Anointed Me”, “He Got Everything You Need”, “More Than Anything”, and “Keeper”.At the age of 16, Robin began playing the piano by ear. With this skill, she organized a gospel choir at Oakland Hills School and at Merritt Junior College and was hired to work with the music department at both schools. From her work in these schools, she was hired to be the Minister of Music for several churches, including Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and Israelite Missionary Baptist Church. Her Ministry has evolved to include Ministry of Praise and Worship. She served in the capacity at Berean Christian Fellowship under Bishop James D. Adams and Trinity Fellowship Church under Bishop-Elect G. Emerson Scott. In 2003 she recorded Cds with Peniel Full Gospel Baptist Church in El Sobrante, California, and with Pastor Javen of Tampa, Florida. Robin is now serving as Minister of Music at Cosmopolitan Baptist Church in Oakland, California.Robin Hodge Williams awards and recognitions include the “Best Female Vocalist of the Year” in 1984 and 1993 by the Bay Area Gospel Academy Awards, recognition in the August 2000 issue of Billboard Magazine as one of Gospel’s “Hottest New Upcoming Artists”, and in 2002, she was featured on Bobby Jones Gospel Hour! 2004-2005 she recently became the music director and principal artist of the play “Black Nativity” at the Lorraine Hansberry Theatre.She recently completed “Purpose”, her third live recording production in 2007. The project features such hits as: “Purpose”, “Celebrate Jesus”, “Happy in Jesus”, “Presence of the King”, “Heaven is a Wonderful Place”, “Hallelujah”, “Rejoice”, “Have Faith in God”, “That’s Who He Really Is”, “Glorify Your Name”, “So Many Wonderful Things about Jesus”, and “Never Let Go of His Hand” Background Artist:
