In the early Nineties I was sitting on a hill in Surrey listening to some obscure Dj. I have forgotten the name but nevermind... Like many others I had sold my guitar and bought an S1000 sampler and an Atari, encouraged by groups like "the Orb" and "Future Sound of London". A few weeks later a tape with ancient shamanic Sami drummusic fell down the mailbox of our rented South East London house. Those samples got me going and soon I was back in Sweden recording my debutalbum "NÃ¥id"(The NÃ¥jd is the Shaman of the Sami people of Northern scandinavia) for Beverage records. The album was released in 1996 and featured Icelandic/Danish Singer Hanne Juul. My debut album opened up a lot of doors for me. I found myself producing artists, remixing, touring and building a studio.
After years of tweeking my beloved analougue synths I started missing singing and I took up the collaboration with my London cousin Magnus Koch. We started to write songs again, like we used to do in our band in London, before I sold my guitar... "Waking up " came out in 2001, on Universal/Stockholm records. The album was released in the States (Hip-O records) and Germany apart from Scandinavia. Years of producing followed working with arists like ; Jay Jay Johanson, A-ha, Snowracer with Emmylou Harris and many more. In 2003 I went to live in Barcelona working on different projects from my flat in "El Born". I really needed a rest from the studio enviroment and recording at home was a good option. Artists came and went and I went back regularly to Stockholm to record.www.myspace.com/snowracermusic
In 2005 I left Barcelona and rented a place in Tuscany. It was an honest attempt to try countrylife and it lasted a year. During my time in Prato I was approached by Enzo Buono from Kosmica records. He had heard my "Waking up" album and invited me to
India to record in the Kosmic music studio. In November 2006 we went there and started working on the "Varanasi" album. "The Oneness Choir" is featured and the album will be released in the US on the 11th of March 2008.
