National Braai Day is a day when all South Africans can celebrate our great country. To
braai is one of the truly unique South-African past-times and transcends all racial
barriers. Our dream is that on 24 September all South Africans will have a braai with
friends and family. National Braai Day is also a public holiday - so you've got no
excuse. This is a non-profit initiative and there is no political motive to the day.
Send us a SMS to 34761 on 24 September with the number of people attending the braai. We will
tally the info and do press releases of the numbers on a real time basis, as well as
having a live counter on our website. Be part of the official count!

Braai Day Events
National Braai Day is all about sitting around a fire with your family and friends. On our official website there is an Events page where people or restaurants who are hosting slightly bigger braai events on the day can promote their party. So if you don't have the means to start your own fire, but still want to celebrate National Braai Day, go to one of these.
