About Me

Reconstructing.
Ron 3.0?
Once in Brooklyn. Then, Arizona. Now, New York again.
I can definitely say that I’ve had an…interesting life so far. Use of the word “interesting” is from the ancient Chinese curse: “MAY YOU LIVE IN INTERESTING TIMES AND COME UNDER THE NOTICE OF IMPORTANT PEOPLE.”
I am a weirdness magnet. The odd, the strange, the disturbing, all seem to float past like a string of neuroses.
Thus, despite the “day job,” I am a writer. Someone has to document all of this right?
At the end of the world, one foot in hell. Angel with a wing dipped in blood.
In Rossignol's second book "Geneology and True Names: A Study in Darkness from Frankenstein to Calixto" we find several references to the House of Dyer in relation to fact, horror, music and fiction...
"Nay, I cannot," Mary Dyer told the crowd. "For in obedience to the will of the Lord, I came. And in His will, I abide, faithful to the death." She was hanged June 1, 1660. The next day she was buried in an unmarked grave on the Boston Common. After her execution, a Puritan said scornfully, "She did hang as a flag for others to take example by." They were right. The last Quaker hanged in America, she helped give us freedom of religion…
Mrs. Amelia Dyer. Her sole motive had been greed, accumulating fictitious boarding fees while quickly disposing of the infants. She was hanged in June 1896. No one will ever know the numbers of her tiny victims, but at the time of her arrest she had been carrying on her trade for fifteen years…
Father Joseph K. Dyer, had a friend and fellow priest die in that Georgetown exorcism…
My paternal grandmother was of the Clan Douglas. Her father, J.B. Douglas was the captain of the brig, Arkham. He sailed with my grandfather William Dyer to the Antarctic, the Mountains of Madness…
Dyer Island, off South Africa, is the true home of the Great White Shark and the Flying Dutchman…
In Maryland the spirit of suspected witch, Moll Dyer, is thought to haunt the St. Mary's Historical Society. The townsfolk blamed Moll for the troubles they were having. Because she lived as a hermit, they thought she was a witch. The townspeople drove her from her home. She was found a few days later, frozen to death kneeling on a boulder. When her body was removed, the impressions of her knees and hands were still present. Her hut, which is located along what is now called Moll Dyer's Run, is barren. Her apparition has been seen floating over the land where she had lived. She was later known in movies as the Blair Witch…

My Interests

Way too many to mention...

I'd like to meet:

People, Places, Things.

People are usually easier.

Many folks list dead people they would like to meet. I will not do this, as the dead aren't known for their stunning conversation.

Have we met?

Should we?

CURRENT MOON moon info

Music:

Mostly anything, but I tend to stay away from the whole gangsta rap or country/western stuff. Tell me what you think of the song currently playing and feel free to make suggestions.

In the meantime, enjoy the following video presentation
The hauntingly beautiful duet "Henry Lee" by Nick Cave and Bad Seeds with P.J. Harvey

.. width="425" height="350" ..

Movies:

I couldn't mention them all, I love horror, film noir, gothic. As long as the story is good, it's all about the storytelling.....

Fun at the Titty Twister.

Which B-Movie Badass Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Television:

This one's a bit easier as I don't watch too much TV. But do like Babylon 5, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits (all versions have some good episodes), Sopranos, Rome (XII!!), Penn and Teller's Bullshit, Masters of Horror, BBC World News. Mostly it’s background noise…

Books:

Considering I read at least one book a week, usually at least one new one a month, I won't even try. I love SF from Asimov to Zelazney, pour through "hard science" books, love horror and fantasy and devour graphic novels of all genres. What are YOU reading right now?

Heroes:

I am Nyarlathotep!

The 999 forms of Nyarlathotep are a point of meditation for the true initiate. It is through these manifold faces that the secrets of the universe are made known. Called "The Crawling Chaos", Nyarlathotep is the disembodied ego of Azathoth and thus the universal "I" of known reality. Some of the many documented forms are; Father of Knives, Nephren-Ka, the Black Man, the Beast of the Lashing Tongue to name a few.
