The year is 2020. Liberals have been firmly in power since 2008 and the Islamic States of America have been taxed nearly into oblivion. 78% of Americans are living in temporary housing, mostly composed to refrigerator boxes. Factions have developed as roving street gangs compete for sewer grate sleeping privileges, and a federal government paralyzed by a lack of conservative objectives to obstruct finds itself ill-equipped to actually enact any solutions of its own. Most of the treasury has been emptied to appease sworn enemies, minority groups, and anyone the U.S. has looked at funny in the past 200 years. What little remains goes to a welfare program (what else?) designed to keep the riff-raff too drunk to storm the few, heavily armed Madison avenue mansions and San Francisco strongholds.
