Interests vary. I enjoy music. Love to just light candles and enjoy the silent lucidity. Scouting the market for new anti depressant pills. Shopping the mall for bargains, or just anything that will fit! Living vicariously through Jenny. Coaxing samples from the MAC girls at Nordstroms. Searching all the alleys downtown LA for that one special touch that will make the costume "pop". Talking to my parents on an almost daily basis and keeping in touch with all the gossip back home. Having dinner or lattes with friends and good conversation, turn the music down please! Ugh!a
Anyone I havent already slept with in West Hollywood! Just kidding, ill go global on this one and say id like to meet anyone who isnt afraid to be themselves and laugh at their misfortune as Im known to do!
I appreciate a song with not only a great beat but something that can actually tell a lil story and mean something in the end. I search for songs that leave out the word "love". How many songs can written about love and still have anything new to say? I also enjoy songs that contain clear words and proper use of the English language. "in da club"? Excuse me? I have no idea what hes saying the entire song, but you can dance to it, i give it a...! Please no more of that. I love the masterful works of Charlene, Deborah Cox, Culture Club, Richard Marx, Diana Ross, Patsy Cline, Unknown Boy, and Josh Groban. "Hey Mr. DJ, put a record on, I wanna dance with my baby...". (and no, that is in no way an endorcement for Madonna)
Seriously, is there anything out there as of late that Hollywood hasnt already done? How many remakes can one watch til the original is spoiled for those who have yet to see it! Lessons learned? REMAKES DONT MAKE RESALE! Movies for me have to be so cutting edge and have a message that not only pushes the card of today, but offers a message that is so subliminal, it has to be disected. Therefore, Im not much into movies. The last time i went to the theater was to see MULAN. And again, i was dissappointed! For all the future writers out there, please come up with something that is palateable and fresh. Id rather watch paint dry, than the movies that are out there now. Special effects mean nothing if there is no interesting story line. Cut to the chase, get to the point, or just get off the screen! Keep me enraptured in your movie, not incarcerated in the theater!
Nick at Nite is my obsession. I live for the days past of "silver spoons", "diff'rent strokes", "Whats happening!", and who could ever forget the unstoppable Nel Carter in "gimme a break!". Currently I tivo "How clean is your house", I love anything British. Another British comedy I cant live without is "keeping up appearances". Hyacinth is my alter ego. And yes, i do own a tea set from Royal Doulton! The television shows of today lack the humor and style of sitcoms gone past. Id rather watch reruns of "little house on the prairie" than "friends". TVLAND, take me away!...or at least just take me back to the 80's.
My Mom, and Dad. Nobody realizes how much they mean to me. Their amazing in every sense of the word and I LOVE THEM! XOXO
