Helsinki Pride is the biggest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) event in Finland. The annual Pride week takes place in the summer, and it is accessible to all. In addition to the Pride parade, Helsinki Pride includes discussion events, meetings, parties and much more. The main goal is to promote openness and the acceptance of diversity in society.
The theme of the 2007 event is "From Tolerance to Equality". The main organizer is Helsingin seudun Seta ry (HeSeta), a Helsinki LGBT organization that works actively to promote the civil rights of sexual and gender minorities.
