THE DIME is an American rap/soul music group from Richmond, California consisting of Chioke Jelani Clanton, Faron "Nightshift" Griffin, and formerly Dallas Wahpepah. The Dime are associated with West Coast hip hop music. Despite the popularity of the hyphy movement and it's music in the Bay Area, The Dime's music has been self described as "Refreshing East Bay Soul." The Dime's music reflects the tumultuous environment the group grew up in, incorporating poetic thought provoking rhymes and soulful melodic messages in it's sound.
