Kanekoa is a high energy, 5 piece (2 ukuleles, Bass, Drums and Percussion) jam band from Maui Hawaii. Our sound has been labeled in the "Hawaiian/Fusion/Rock/Reggae" catagories, since there really is no other way to describe it. Most of the songs that we play were written by all of us, as we each throw our own unique influences into the mix. We are also known for playing obscure cover songs by artists such as the Grateful Dead and Men At Work. We are known by most people because of our extremely unique sounds which stem from 2 electrified ukuleles, and our high energy stage shows.
