Stacy Algiers

Not goth but Southern Gothic.

About Me

I prefer trains and trolleys to cars or planes, I prefer cats to dogs, I bite my nails and twist my hair... I like knee highs and barettes... I write and I like to make collage art... I want to learn how to cut and work with glass and mirrors one day...I am happily negative. I wear black all the time but, this does not mean that I want to hear your crappy industrial band. I like to read and listen to classical music... I enjoy nonsense, kitsch, and synchronicity. I have a fascination with spontaneous laughter and the dance of St. Vitus(choros mania not the disease). I want to know more about spontaneous mania in it's various forms... I would also like to meet people with synesthesia, carnies and side show performers, people with small hands, people who are interesting or do interesting things, pathological liars, grifters, people who like to flash or streak, pirates, nuns who drink beer, Luchadores, strippers and burlesque stars... Other things that I like (the short list): Red wines, Philosophy, conversation, Poetry, Radical freedom, St. Valentine, Opera, 3-D, old typewriters and bicycles, bowler hats, canes, coffee, records, cameras, erratic behavior, film, Nina Simone, sociopaths, B&W photographs, Billie Holiday, rain, derelicts, patterns... Patterns....

My Interests

"There are a hundred things she has tried to chase away the things she won't remember and that she can't even let herself think about because that's when the birds scream and the worms crawl and somewhere in her mind it's always raining a slow and endless drizzle. You will hear that she has left the country, that there was a gift she wanted you to have, but it is lost before it reaches you. Late one night the telephone will sing, and a voice that might be hers will say something that you cannot interpret before the connection crackles and is broken.Several years later, from a taxi, you will see someone in a doorway who looks like her, but she will be gone by the time you persuade the driver to stop. You will never see her again"...Whenever it rains you think of her.-- written by Neil Gaiman
