wait 'til i get my money right...then you can't tell me nothing, right?

About Me

"Hi I’m Leandra, I love getting out of work early, ninjas, and I hate meat and ugly babies.” -Amber del Pozo
what what what to say? as i delve more into astrology, i wonder if i might be the quintessential aquarius. i'm always on the run or in front of my computer, so whenever i can be found, i'm usually absorbed in a book or my headphones, which serve as constant companions. quirky, ecclectic, whimsical, and an unintentional insurgent...

i'm NOT looking for virtual love, just correspondence with affable and intelligent people. my space is not YOUR space, so play nice or don't play at all. otherwise, you'll be removed.

i'm very proud of the work that this company does. they're working to end the cycle of poverty by providing small loans to entrepreneurs in developing countries. how kiva differs from other microfinancing companies is that it allows you--YOU--to be a lender. something as little as $25 can go a long way for the people that seek these loans. it's not THE solution, but one very promising solution that helps build economic sustainability family by family. kiva has a 100% loan repayment rate so if you can't part with your $25, you can feel good about getting it back, albeit with some time.
...and this

My Interests

god. good. ancient wisdom. entrepreneurship. passion. purpose. books. words. health and wellness. testing toothpastes. music. film. art. beautiful things. travel. culture. life. spandex. fresh, clean water.

I'd like to meet:

interesting people with interesting thoughts and perspectives, my children from around the world, my husband, freethinking educators who understand the bigger picture, my heroes, people that inspire themselves and others to think, speak, and act with kindness and love for all of life, a great life coach, an honorable sensei, and others...

but if you want to get specific...Oprah, Angelina Jolie, Assata Shakur, Lauryn Hill, Ken Wilber, Dave Chappelle, Wayne Dyer, the next incarnates of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Jr., Mother Theresa, the original Buddha, Ghandi, Leonardo DaVinci, Einstein, Muhammad, and Jesus.

Music:

what sounds good. despite the ambiguity of this statement, i can be a harsh critic and i have superb taste.
common denominator: musical intellects.

Movies:

what stirs emotion. igby goes down is fantastic. city of god deserved every single nomination. american blackout reminds me of why documentaries should be made.

indie films, generally speaking, happen to be the best.

Television:

read a book

Books:

mine...coming soon. (smile)

conversations with god is definitely at the top of my "to recommend" list. the power of intention by dr. wayne dyer, who is incredible. a happy pocket full of money by david cameron...one of the most helpful books ever written. the way by michael berg. 72 names of god. the prophet by khalil gibran. nonfiction, baby.

Heroes:

those that exhibit incredible strength and/or composure under great pressure. those that are able to defeat that inclination to procrastinate. those that allow their creativity to seep into every area of their lives. those that have the courage to know themselves, love themselves, and be themselves. those that act out of love, not fear. those that critically assess their conditioning. those that are so comfortable with themselves that they aren't threatened by others. those that know that perfection isn't real, but still strive for it. those with perfect health and enlightened minds. those that use their voices and lives to improve and bring light to the world.

My Blog

utter disappointment

Canibus is wack as shit.  Not only is his voice supremely annoying (I refuse to believe that his speaking voice is remotely similar to this), his flow is horrible to the point of nonexistent.&nbs...

Patience is a virtue
