Hrmmm.....what about me? Here are a few things. I love electronic music, dancing, and DJing. Primarily ebm, trance, and power noise; though I enjoy many, many other genres as well. I am always interested in checking out something new. However, due to my lack of a home internet connection at the present, I cannot listen to bands' profiles 98% of the time. I do tend to buy cds on a whim of artists I have not heard yet now and then, and take recommendations to heart. Promo cds are always appreciated. :D
I am currently a resident DJ @ SADISCO* in Phoenix(the best ebm/noize/industrial club EVAR!)
Previous club residencies include Prodqut, Empire, Remix, Eclectronic, Viagra Falls, Defkon, MOTO-X, Secret Stash, Electro Groove, REAKTOR, & Altered Beats (last three @ Club Asylum, Tucson).
Aside from music, I also enjoy what may be considered "dorky" past times, most of which are quite dated by today's standards, I admit. I love Dungeons & Dragons, though I have not made the leap to 3rd Ed. I love video games/PC games, but mostly of the old and "outdated" kind. Maybe someday I'll eventually take the leap into the 21st century, but for now I'll take Golden Axe over World Of Warcraft any day. (Altered Beast is the best video game ever made, btw)
I am also a big fan of the visual arts. As of late though, it has mainly been as a spectator. I went to school and got my degree in the field, and I had a career doing graphic design for 5 years. Something changed a few years ago, but who knows...maybe I'll find my visual muse again at some point in the future. As of now, the "visual artist" side of me isn't a prominent side, like it was 10 years ago. But I still remain a fan.
Speaking of dorkiness and art, I guess you could also say I am a furry fan. Not really of the "fringe weirdness" most people tend to think of, but I do find something beautiful in artistic depictions of the melding of human and non-human animal forms. I suppose similar to how some people like the "man/machine" concept in art/fiction/etc. Also, on another level, the style has a metaphoric meaning for me. Which brings us to another aspect of me....
I am a therianthrope. There is a part of me, in some strange way...be it mental, etheric, what have you, that is lupine. I know this comes across as illogical, or even downright crazy to some, but it is something I truly feel. Sometimes I wish I could expound more on the subject, but i have a hard time putting the feelings clearly into words. They don't always translate well.
Perhaps related, I often spend a lot of time out in nature. I feel a deep pulling, and cannot be away from the wild for too long.
Well, that's a basic idea of me, on the surface at least.
also been into making music of my own lately..especially dark ambient. check it out: http://www.myspace.com/bisclavret5
