I'd like to meet:

I like to meet the JAMMERS and the bluegrass bands/players who are not published. I guess you would say I am looking for good bluegrassers who need some exposure which we can provide. Recently I have met many bands from North Carolina groups which have captivated my heart in bluegrass fashion. Since I do Gospel on BLUEGRASSMIX.COM I am especially interested in bluegrass gospel groups. Of course, who wouldn't want to meet Dolly Parsons. She grew up in my neck of the woods, but we have never crossed paths. I have been fortunate in meeting Roy Acuff, all of the Oritinal Carter Family, Dr Ralph Stanley, Jeanie Stanley, Jr, II, Porter Wagoner, Doyle Lawson, Rhonda Vincent,Cherryholmes, Flatt & Scruggs Marty Raybon, Jim Laughter, the Grascals, Lou Reid, and many others.I also like to meet, greet and offer friendship and help to our foreign visitor from all over the world.

Music:

I like all forms of music with some exceptions. I am learning to play the Fiddle and Banjo expect to add the Mandolin to my playing in the future My favorite Fiddle Player is Michael Cleveland.

Movies:

I do not ordinarily have time for movies but do enjoy Star Trek or its offshoots on TV when my schedule rarely permits. I do amateur Radio Telvision also. I do prefer family oriented movies which do not include vulgarities, sex or violence,

Television:

A little news (as little as possible) and Startrek I love cctv09 which shows the music, geography and pagentry of China. Also korean and Japanes Television

Books:

Have recently read a number of advanced topic textbooks in Astronomy. Most other readings are magazines, several bluegrass mags, sky & Telescope, Astronomy, Popular Science, Discover(Best on market) Science, Technical Manuals and of course the Bible. Reading appears to be a lost art in the USA.

Heroes:

I have no heroes but we do need more. If I had one earthly hero it would be St Thomas Aquinas.
