Whether a painting, sculpture, or installation, works of art must posses the potential of affecting the viewer's perspective or life, whether by imposing itself as a physical and unforgettable experience or stimulating an exceptional mental/philosophical realization. Art is no longer the static end product of skillfully and academically trained artists. Drawings, paintings, sculptures, videos, and all physical things eventually deteriorate and thoroughly disintegrate. The value of art is not innately found within the papers, canvases, or materials themselves; it is the emotional and intellectual impression impregnated within an artist's creation that evade decay and transcend time. -By me ^_^
