I am a firm believer that hip-hop music began with the sample, and that hip-hop music should embody the power of 'soul.' I sample a lot of vocals and use a lot of layering in my work. My mission is to create music that is not only soulful, rich, and human in texture, but also powerful in rhythm. My goal is to continue maturing musically--and never stop.
At this point in my career, I'm continually influenced by a plethora of artists in a variety of genres. On any given day you'll probably be able to find me listening to (and studying) recordings of drummers, guitarists, bass players, jazz musicians, keyboardists, and vocalists.
I'm not one of those idiots who will spam your MySpace with stupid bulletins, graphics, or "news." I know how annoying it is when someone constantly pushes their music in your face, and I try to make information accessible for those who are interested, rather than forcing it on those who might not be.
