I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I like spending time with my friends and colleagues. I like spending time with new interesting people. I like spending time alone. I like to be creative. I like to be entrepreneurial. I support theater and I support my fantasy baseball and football leagues. I am against the death penalty. I like talking about music, baseball, cooking, the state of the world, football, contemplations about the universe and minute-seemingly-trivial-things-that-aren't-trivial-at-all. I like coffee in the morning and cocktails at night. And, look at me, drinking green tea. Crazy. Like Michael Jackson declared to Paul McCartney in their blockbuster duet, "Say, Say, Say"... "I'm a lover AND a fighter!" I'm perplexed by people who tout being either a dog lover, or cat lover. C'mon. I love dogs. AND I love cats. A friend of mine was house sitting for two dogs recently, and I came over and let one of the dogs lick my face for 45 minutes and she [my friend] was grossed out but I figured, hey, how could I deprive that dog of that pleasure?

My Interests

Chicago Cubs, Music, Movies, Donuts (the essence of donuts more than eating them-in fact, one day I aspire to open a donut restaurant), the number 6, animals (especially a certain cat named Muffin), the study of Utilitarianism-and more specifically-Did Jeremy Bentham secretly have a crush on John Stuart Mills?

I'd like to meet:

People who love to go around town dancing and exclaiming, "You've been served!!!"And, genuine people.People who contemplate. That Roman Emperor who decided to kick Paganism to the curb and make Catholism the hot, new world religion. I'd have a few questions for him. I would like to meet a random person tomorrow. But, I'm patient.... I can wait until the day after that. Somebody who has rented my movie CAPTAIN APACHE: LAUGH TRACK EDITION. Somebody who can see beyond shameless self-promotion. A smart scientist. Does anybody else out there feel the same way about doughnuts that I do? (see general interests). I like to talk to friends and discuss our thoughts about movies and music and such. It's especially fun to dissect Lost Highway and Mullholland Drive.

Music:

Zero 7, The Arcade Fire, Spiritualized, The Fiery Furnaces, Frank Sinatra, Damien Rice, The Polyphonic Spree, Prince, A Fine Frenzy, Of Montreal, Sufjan Stevens, Jeff Buckley, The Postal Service, The Go! Television:

Current: Heroes. Aliens in America. Family Guy. The Office. The Apprentice. Survivor. Ebert & Roeper. I get caught up in Idol. I can watch The Food Network 24 hours a day. I would be a chef in another life. The Ghost Whisperer- I've never watched the show, but I love watching commercials for it. Jennifer Love Hewitt sure shows a lot of cleavage for someone who talks to ghosts! If I was a ghost, I would definitely come back and talk to her. But when she would be like, "how can I help you? What do you need resolved from your life?" my ghost would just be like,"Nah. Nothing. I just wanted to see your boobs." Old: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Scrubs, SCTV, Dave Chappelle Show, Three's Company, BBC Office, Mr. Show, Cop Rock, Sanford and Son, SNL, Monk, Freaks And Geeks

My Blog

A thought about MySpace...

Why don't they make MySpace out of the same material as the black box? I mean, come on. What's the deal with that??

I have decided to change these sections of my profile because they have only caused confusion, and garnered generally mediocre reviews. I thought they were hi-larious. You have to make yourself lau...
