WE are an all original HARD ROCK band ranging from various influences to form a sound of our own. Hailing from the CHICAGO AREA, Chainwax has been playing shows consistently for the past FOUR years. WE continue to push and outdo Ourselves at every show.
In a short period of time we've played with some of the most elite local bands in the Midwest area including Lifter, ODM, Blackout, Ditchwater, Incaged, Drudge Puppet, Chapter 7, Kastasyde, second path, Fashion bomb, Disconic, Bearing point, Wingnut, Penguins with shotguns, Tripwire, Anger in the attic, Sore, pure motorized instinct, pink taco, big swirl and the russo nixons, vagrancy, nerve damage, misunderstood, makeshift, and The Pimps.
We have shared the bill with national acts such as Soil, Shadows Fall, Damage Plan, Soul Fly, Ill Nino, Alston, Exodus, Full blown chaos, and The Haunted.
We played the pearl room, the metro, the double door, the rave, stage 83, nitecaps, legends, yoti, penny road pubb, clearwater, the stumble inn, on cue, jj kelly's, synergy, and the rock and rack.
Our music continues to grow and mature as our live show becomes more aggressive and energetic. We credit our unique sound to the various influences we have ranging from thrash, Swedish Metal, Flamenco, Punk, Hard rock, Alternative rock, Progressive rock, grunge and metalcore.
Refusing to settle on one sound we never stop pushing the envelope and doing our best to make sure everyone can find something they can bring from the show and never forget. We are CHAINWAX. Are you ready?
