I watched 'Empire of the Sun' just recently. Once again, as it was when I first saw it at the age of ten, my life was completely changed. A film that made me at once realise the huge delicacy and fragility of life while at the same time making every life seem completely pointless. Ones journey can seem at times overbearing and at times joyous, sometimes I understand some things; this film makes me realise with more clarity than ever how much I don't comprehend, how much perhaps is truly incomprehensible. "I leant a new word today. Atom Bomb. Like god taking a photograph.... B52 Cadillac of The Sky!" Spike Lee, Wes Anderson, "George Washington" is the best film ever made. films that say everything by saying nothing.
