Just an ol' Rock and Roller!!

About Me

Thank you for visiting my Page here. My name is Paul and I have been involved with live music, in one way or another, for over 30 years. My first experience with live music was with a great little band called The House of Lords from Stanford-le-Hope. For a while, I did the driving and the carrying while everyone else did the playing and got the applause. After that, I spent some time earning a living until I fell in with another dodgy bunch that went under the name of Automatic Slim. I was driving and carrying again but I had a great time. For a long time I had tried to get the hang of playing guitar but all that was available were right-handed ones. After quite a while I picked up a left handed guitar and it, sort of, fell into place. I learned enough to fake it and was soon playing rhythm guitar in an Essex band called Endaksi. Part covers and part original material. After that all finished I did nothing, (musically) apart from occasional roadying, for a while until I met a chap called Tony Belyavin (Bass) and we put a band together. We were then called Less than Bless'd. There were various members over the years, all nice chaps and chapesses. We played many gigs - probably over a thousand - including pubs, clubs and bike rallies. We played at a Lee Brilleaux memmorial show on Canvey alongside Dr. Feelgood (obviously) and the Kursaal Fliers. Eventually we changed the name to The Dynamite Dick Band. This lasted a couple of years until a change of personnel prompted another name change to The Cherrybombs. After a move to another town, I left Tony and the Cherrybombs and, intending just to put a rehearsal band together, went on MusoFinder. The Result was Scarface Jones. We did a few gigs and then I left in June 2008. You can also visit the Harlow 70's Motorbike club by clicking here. ,Harlow 70's MCC

There are people on here who think that, because they are talented, or disabled , or both that we should have to put up with all the crap they post as bulletins. Bollox - to all that. I'm fed up ...
