I moved from the Twin Cities in Minnesota to the middle of Califonia in January this year, just before the gas prices rose!!! :( I'm "kinda, sorta settled in" getting back to my writing and recording, trying to get these songs heard by as many as I can. Right now I'm rearranging song's from the Sweet Dreams CD. From day to day I'll think of things I like and will add them or drop them from these song's, so as of now they are far from finished. I post them on my player to let you know how far I'm getting along, to get feed back, and figure you'll get a kick out of following this process. I find great comfort and joy when I write using whatever talent the Lord blessed me with, and though still new to this song writing thing, I feel like I once did about music, excited! I am now motivated by the events and time's we live in and the striking similarity between Scripture and current events. Jesus told us these time's would be difficult and I try to use my song's to remind us of that. We, as Christian's may have little or no choice left in the political arena these days, but what we have is more precious than that, we have His Word. We know what happens, when and why it happens, how and where it happens. We were told we would be pesecuted, mocked, ridiculed by those who have no time for God, they try to take Him out of the picture, out of our country, and along the way go our God given rights as American citizens. So, though my style may be rough and my voice worn out, the lyric's in my song's are founded in His Word. This gives me comfort, this gives me hope, for by knowing His Word I know the joyful outcome for He has already won the war! This is why I do what I do.
Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
