About Me

the boy who wouldn't really play anything off the shelf... surfacing as solution to be lived by rewiring the works. frankly, there are now so many wires its hard to see forest through gump. and in keeping warm with effect...focus could lean to depth, and then possibly to occupation? ok maybe pre-occupation. gathered as surreal. art is necessity. it won't pay the bills, but reveals itself in silver black littered in crimson chartreuse hint of mint. heck... it’s kinda hard to tell anymore. instruments of late are 6&7 string baritone guitars with bass string, standard strings and midi. modified electronics are essential! please check out the band site; Joan of Arkansas.

My Interests

Everyday Darkness. Flying little airplanes. Cooking. Driving Shit for brains mountain roads just a tad too fast. Ham Radio is pretty cool too.

I'd like to meet:

Damon Edge, Howard Hughes and Elliot Smith...but as they have all passed, that will take some time. Brian Eno would really blow my skirt up. Tom Bearden would be incredible to speak with but... I doubt my understanding. As the "Energy from a vacuum" thang just doesn’t clean the carpets yet. And unfortunately for me, I'm a simpleton and the conspiracy theories leave me dry. Oh yeah speaking of KY for the soul; Ayn Rand. Sure to bite my head off...and yes that would be of good use. And my absolute dream is that Kate Bush would make me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. (I would also insist she cut the crusts off)

Music:

uhmmm yea.

Movies:

All David Lynch's stuff rocks. But in a pinch... Apocolypse Now. hard to shake a stick at Army Of Darkness or Pulp Fiction. Blade Runner: "Thats the spirit!"

Television:

Liquid Television was awesome. Especially "Psychogram" dear Mom...

Books:

Prozac Nation. Atlas Shrugged. The Coal Tattoo. The Book of Lies. Through the Looking Glass, The Cosmic Code. American Gods. The Tao of Pooh. Walden and Civil Disobedience. Illusions and Biplane. The Kabbala is damn cool. like some of Anton Levay's musings as well. And as tacky as it sounds...the dictionary is really quite fascinating.

Heroes:

Helios Creed, Mark Sandman, Thurston Moore, Nikola Tesla, Burt Rutan, Kate Bush, Neil Gaimen, Lydia Lunch, Henry David Thoreau. My buddy Richard Murphy. Heidi & Piper.
