Red Squad is currently working on their new album that is due to be released this summer. A lot of hard work was involved in the 3 latest tracks – ‘’Paper Chasser’’, ‘’Beat in the Trunk ‘’ & ‘’Posted In The Club ‘’. Later summer 2008 Mike Dubs and his Dream Team is planning to do ‘’major ‘’ promotion, including live shows at LimeBar, Revolution, PURE and many more- ‘if they have a chance to perform they wont miss it’. As a new crew on the scene with a genre of music that is not as popular as NICHE and MC in Manchester and UK generally it was and it is very hard for Mike Dubs & Red Squad to make progress and stay at the position they reached so far.
Red Squad was established in 2007, by a young artist Mike Dubs. He was originally born in Zimbabwe AFR, on 1st December 1988. Since than he already had passion for music, as he would always be listening to street drums locals play on streets, when he got older he was drumming on the kitchen table, the older he was getting the more sense his beats were making. Life in Africa was hard for Mike Dubs and his family, so his Momma decided to make move to UK where there are more opportunities for a better future for her children.
At the age of 18 as an experienced beat producer Mike Dubs decides to achieve what no a single Rap /Hip-Hop artist has yet achieved in UK- Become Successful In The Music Industry, and by successful we define world know not just a little local like some artist in Manchester. Working on genres such Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B has developed a lot of skills in Mike Dubs’s techniques he uses to create music. He gets involved in music with already well know in Manchester, Reproheadz, Big Bounce and Don Records. He gains many useful skills he will then use in future from them. Not only does Mike Dubs write all his material but he also writes for others. His ghostwriting skills helped Dubs evolve into a producer. He started red squad production with his two partners, TAZ and P.AC.O, with both Miki J and Carlos, Rasheez and Nathan being producers, Dubs became more self contained than ever. Since forming the company, the Red Squad Ent have produced for Nathan, Dboy and various upcoming artists from Manchester.
Mike Dubs has presence and swagger to compete with anyone in the industry, he writes hits for himself and others living up to his label name, Red Squad Ent. Boss Hogg Lane.
