My Interests

I love the sound of old machinery running- the clacks, thumps, whines, the smell of a total loss oil system, all the gizmos and doohickeys that give it life, and of course the human element that makes it all come together in a unique symphony that is obnoxious to some...music to others. That's why I love to ride my scoot. It has a Zen like effect on my psyche, and any problem usually disappears within a few hundred yards of taking off on the bike. Other people have things that gives them "that" high, mine is looking down at the blur of the road, the rap of the pipes, listening to the engine, trans, and tires talk to me...the whole rider/machine/reflex connection. I'm all about individual freedom, personal responsibility, choices, and hearing other different ideas on what "freedom" is. (It's good for a laugh when it's from Government or the Insurance Industry) I enjoy light and heavy conversations, and I seldom take anything seriously..it's what's on your mind that intrigues me, someone else's view...I might even change a long held belief based on a successful argument of a cause. I am "passionate" about things I do believe in. Don't mistaken my good nature for weakness, because I'll thump those that need it~

I'd like to meet:

Anyone that has a thought or expression of the passions in their life. I like people that aren't locked into the rules that society or popular opinion dictate. I can have the same amount of fun over a cup of coffee as I can having sex, which is what life is really about. Humor is a must for anyone to be around me. What do ya got? I really like Dick Dale and all surf guitar music that portrays the amped feeling you get whether you're surfing the ocean, the mountain slopes in winter, or on your motorcycle...slicing to the best lane to get to your destination...full of four wheeled land sharks, with the asphalt reef passing beneath you..it's transcendental! Cowabunga Moondoggie~

Action and comedy as long as it's fast paced~I watch about everything if the plot is interesting, and it's not about politics..

Speed Channel, Discovery, Animal Planet, Food, Comedy Central, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Travel, Sci-Fi, Spike....

Books:

A little of this and a little of that. I'm open to all kinds of subjects. I have stacks of mechanical/motorhead stuff. I read the Internet a lot so the title of this section should be revised to "read"~ "Freedom" by Sonny Barger (www.sonnybarger.com) is my current companion, but I just got his new book, "6 Chambers, 1 Bullet." Heroes:

My Parents (who can never be equaled) and those that do the hard things in life. I workout, and I consider the early weightlifters as "templates" for my workout philosophy. People that I tailor my exercises after are those like Arnold, Dave Draper, Bill Pearl, Ed Corney, Robby Robinson, Lou Ferrigno, Reg Park, Bill Kazmaier, and all the early guys that invented the techniques, equipment, and the gyms we take for granted today. Although I don't need to live a long life, I want to be as tuned up as possible during my time here and lifting heavy weights fits my personality and quest to be able to rip a car door off if someone tries to kill me while riding my motorcycle! I've recently started training for Strongman lifting with heavy weights and it does require a different attitude than bodybuilding....
