MEET THE DSI CHARACTERS!
PARKER LAINE - Department Head
Surly and quick-witted, Parker Laine has been a DSI since childhood following the theft of his tricycle. Since then, his skills have advanced to the point he can afford to be smug. Not much gets past Parker Laine, and he has become something of a legend in the crime unit.
KAREN MUSTERFIELD - Department Head
One of the DSI Unit heads, Karen is resourceful, always composed and a fierce investigator. She specializes in biology, specifically hair, fibres and zoology.
KINCAID FARMER - Investigator
Kincaid "Sherlock" Farmer is a smooth talker, a ladies' man and full of one-liners. In spite of all this he is one hell of an investigator and earned the nickname of "Sherlock" because of his forensic tool of choice - a magnifying glass. Kincaid specializes in chemistry, specifically paint and glass, shoeprints, drugs and alcohol.
BARBARA BUFFERTON - Investigator
Barbara has the biggest hair and brightest lipstick this side of 1982. She is a fantastic investigator though, and takes the teasing about her appearance in stride. Her forte is chemistry, specifically tool marks, striations, arson and post-mortem small instestine analysis.
DAVID LOGAN - Investigator
Logan, as he's referred to by his collegues, could be the only person in the DSU without a sense of humour. In fact, even when he finds something funny, he doesn't even crack a smile. Logan specializes in ballistics.
HENRIETTA GRACE - Detective
"Henry" is very quiet, but a fierce detective who is a bulldog in the box. Most people who don't know Henry find it hard to imagine such a quiet, seemingly shy person could turn so fierce when interrogating a suspect. A master of interpreting human behavior, not much gets past the young Henrietta.
ETHAN POTTER - Detective
Potter has been a detective for six years and is a regular practical joker. His favourite gag is to tie a string to a $20 bill, drop it on the floor, hide around the corner and pull it away as his co-workers bend to pick it up. Detective Potter has an eerie knack for breaking a suspect, and in his six years he has only left three cases open.
HILLARY BESOIN - Rookie
Fresh out of the National Forensic Academy, Hillary is a bit skittish and often refers to her procedure and reference manuals. Despite her self-doubt, she knows her stuff and has eyes like a hawk. Hillary's fortes are mineralogy, documents, forgeries and paper chemistry.
JAMIE BRYSON - The Coroner Like most coroners, Jamie Bryson is a bit weird, but a fantastic pathologist. Jamie loves to fish and keeps a tank in the pathology office, often stopping to stare at the saltwater fish swimming around. Understandably, Jamie is a vegetarian.
