Bananaskin is from the land of thousands lakes, from the land of hopes and dreams…Yeah! From Finland. Oh yeah! AND SANTA CLAUS IS FROM FINLAND, NOT FROM SWEDEN! ALSO SAUNA IS OUR INVENTION, REALLY! But something about the band and their music, okay… Mari Rautio (vocals) is in the leading role in the band together with her husband Timo Rautio (guitar). They believe in their own original material, which is great. They’ve had a several line-ups. To be perfectly honest with you, no-one knows their line-up at this very moment. Who cares! They know exactly what they are doing. That’s enough. Mari’s voice is soft and tender and her sensuality is heart-breaking. Ooooh yeahhhh!! I love her voice and style! Timo writes the lyrics and music. He is a nice guy, but he’s awful with his guitar. Their producer’s (Ian Catt/ Saint Etienne) nightmare! Okay, take two, okay, take three, okay, take four…okay, let’s take a break!
