Miss Sasha Colette

Sunday's Voice, Saturday's Eyes

About Me

Behind the guitar of Sasha Colette lies the purity of an Eastern Kentucky voice rich in heritage, soul and emotion. The delicate blend of her skills on the fretboard and her vocal stylings can only be described as: Honest. Writing lyrics and music with a style of Folk, Americana and Blues, Colette can hold any ear.
Sasha embraces her roots while embracing various artists such as Emmylou Harris, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Leadbelly, the twang of Billy Joe Shaver and the music of Loretta Lynn. Colette's has released two albums, her first being Up From The Roots, and also an EP entitled The Tombstone & The Maple Leaf which both have brought her to perform on bills with Will Kimbrough, Country/Blues duet Paul Rishell and Annie Raines, Jeff Black, and Russ Barenburg.
Colette began playing the piano at age six and that was the beginning of a desire that to this day hasn't been completely satisfied. She began with 88 keys and soon moved to six strings when a friend of the family brought a few guitars over in bed of his truck for her to pick from. Now with a banjo in her left and a guitar in her right, you can catch Sasha Colette setting up for shows all around the region branching out to the East Coast.
You will be moved by the music and musings of Sasha Colette.
