I am here for Friends

About Me

Tommy James. 03/12/1988. Fareham via Sheffield, Hull, Devizes and Poole. [email protected]'m sick of style over substance. I'm sick of house parties where everything gets trashed, everyone ends up fighting and noone leaves as friends. I'm sick of people acting like they're fifteen when they should know better by now. It's time to move on.
What I'm not sick of is punk rock and hardcore music. I'm not sick of going to awesome DIY shows, finger pointing and singing along. I'm not sick of collecting records, spending way too much money on them but being stupidly excited when they arrive through the door.
I'm also not sick of my friends, who mean the fucking world to me. Plenty have come and gone, no doubt for the better, but those that are still around are awesome.
I want the rest of 2008 to be amazing. I want to find a job so that I can afford to go out to more shows, buy more records and travel to see my friends more often. I want to meet loads more awesome people to share the fun times with. I want to carry on discovering brilliant new music that excites me as much as the day I discovered Jimmy Eat World, Hot Water Music and Sinaloa.
Life's a learning curve, it's time to roll with it.

My Interests

Walking north over the hills, we were joined by a dog
that wouldn't turn back for twenty or so miles
despite the beating it took from one of the lads.
Feeling bad, we reckoned we'd all stump up for a cab
to take it south when we got to a road, but half-killed
it limped ahead to a house where it happened to live,
which happened as well to be our digs for the night.
So it died quietly under the table as we ate.
