Red Mates were born in October 2006 thanks to Manfredi, a drummer that dreamed to found a band to play punk-rock covers. Manfredi asked Nicolò ( the bass player) and Gigi (the singer) to be part of the new band. Then Luca (the guitarist) joined them. Ever since they created new songs, recording a demo consisting of 5 tracks and playing live in some pubs in Palermo. In the meanwhile Luca decided to abandon the band. Now Red Mates want to record a new hard-core compilation with the help of Emanuele (the new first guitarist) and Leandro (the second guitarist). They are the new members of Red Mates that change sometimes the style of the songs.
BIOGRAFIA:
I Red Mates nascono in ottobre del 2006 dall'idea di Manfredi, desideroso di suonare la batteria, di fare un gruppo che potesse fare cover punk-rock anni 80 di vario tipo. Perciò chiede a Nicolò di andare al basso e a Gigi propone di provare a cantare. Successivamente chiedono al chitarrista Luca di venire a suonare con loro e ben presto decidono di fare pezzi propri, registrando e suonando live in qualche locale di Palermo. Ora i Red Mates si stanno dirigendo verso la produzione di un nuovo cd di stile più hardcore e cosa più importante il gruppo ha perso un componente, il chitarrista Luca che ha sempre dato parecchio con pezzi interamente ideati da lui come"Dead or alive", ma che ha infine deciso di abbandonare il gruppo. Adesso Emanuele e Leandro(ormai chiamato "Vinci") sono i nuovi componenti del gruppo, componenti che di certo cambiano a tratti lo stile dei nuovi pezzi.
