kali dread sound nasce nell' estate del 2004 a milano anche se il primo nome che ha avuto è stato kill ah free. i suoi membri sono tre e sono olmo aka afre aka rahraw : dance hall selecta; rocco: roots selecta e mc e ariele: selecta.
come kill ah free il sound debutta nel club acqua potabile gestito dagli I tal sound. sounera.. poi in viale padova per evitare la costruzione di una caserma dei carabinieri. il trio farà altre brevi apparizioni in fiera degli obei obei nel 2005 con i tal sound e casa brasa. nel 2007 il trio cambia nome e diventa collie dread e suona, venendo eliminato subito, al clash mezzanotte di fuoco organizzato da i tal sound e irie soldiers al s'agapo. solo dopo il clash il trio diventa kali dread e inizia a suonare ogni primo gioved.. del mese all'hemp bar del leoncavallo insieme a ghetto love celebration.
sempre nel 2007 miky entra a far parte del sound come selecta.
kali dread prende ispirazione da artisti e sound come massive b, stone love, sentinel, pow pow,one love,i science, black rain, bass fi mass, golden bass, daisman, esa,kaos,dj gruff e alien army, snoop dog, xibit, pharaoe monch, elephant man, vybez kartel, shabba ranx, mad cobra, bounty killer, beenie man, ward 21, tok, sizzla, capleton, future trouble, assassin, marley family, morgan family, seeed, u roy, black uhru, buju banton, little john, gregory isaac, peter tosh, bunny wailer e altri.....
kali dread sound was born in 2004 in milano and it's composed by afre aka rah raw, rocco and ariele. the first name of the sound was kill ah free, became kali dread in 2007. the first important concert is done in h20, an i tal sound club.
than the sound has played around milano in various events untill the 2007 when played at his first clash: mezzanotte di fuoco, organized by irie soldiers and i tal sound. unfortunately the sound lost at the first match......now the sound play every 1st thirsday of the month in leoncavallo. in that period miky, a new selecta, bacame a bew member of the kali dread crew.
