About Me

Tortilla Girl bags and purses are handmade by Becky : a lawyer turned formally trained fashion designer, illustrator and patternmaker specializing in women's ready-to-wear clothing. My handmade goods are inspired by or derived from my fashion collections, textile samples I create or themes I put together in my design workbook, and some are made just because I find a material that I think is fabulous. All are built from scratch - from sketch to pattern to assembly - and are made using professional fashion industry techniques, stored in protective plastic and come from a smoke-free studio. Visit TORTILLAGIRL.COM to learn about my handmade goods and to shop online.

I'd like to meet:

I don't collect friends.

Independent designers, boutiques and shops that carry handmade items and/or who market their own designs. People interested in buying my own handmade items (myspace friends get in on special deals and promotions).

Tortilla Girl recommends you visit:

Here's mine. Please support an indie designer and make my day by posting it* on your profile or blog :-)

My Comment Box
Leave me a comment:

Please, feel free to post an image of your goods! Drop by often to show new stuff you've made. All images show at their real size. All I ask is that if you post an image, you allow others to do the same at your own profile. (That means no comments hidden, no HTML disabled and no layouts that reduce images.) If not, your comment will not be published here.
