nato a milano da genitori siriani,cresce nel quartiere nei pressi della storica Stazione Centrale,dove si insediano le prime comunità immigrate. Si avvicina all'hip hop nel fermento degli anni 90,dove inizia un rapporto artistico e di amicizia con la crew BLACK HOUSE,insieme ai quali è protagonista di numerosi live in cui si distingue per i testi poliglotti sia in italiano sia in arabo sia in francese (ha vissuto per un breve periodo a Parigi) .Dopo aver provato le varie discipline hip hop,dal writing alla break dance,ZANKO capisce che è nella musica che si deve concentrare,e oltre al rap, scopre quasi per caso il suo talento di beat boxer. Proprio con il beat box ZANKO inizia a farsi conoscere all'interno della scena milanese,svolgendo un " numero "settimanale nell'ambito della ormai mitica serata hh milanese THE SHOW OFF,all'interno dello storico Producers'Corner , organizzando i primi contest della "quinta disciplina" e accompagnando il gruppo di Zulu' (ex 99 posse)AL MUKAWAMA nel live del 1 maggio in piazza castello davanti a migliaia di spettatori.Nel biennio 2004-2005 alcuni programmi televisivi si incuriosiscono di questa nuova arte e contattano ZANKO per una dimostrazione live.Il suo beat box arriva sulle reti di Italia1 ,Mtv,All Music,SKY,oltre a vari canali satellitari.Questo lo consacrera' se non proprio al ruolo di pioniere,sicuramente a quello di uno dei massimi diffusori nella scena locale e nazionale. Alla fine del 2005 ZANKO si ributta nella musica,e viene contattato per un featuring interamente in arabo con le XSS,gruppo inglese di 3 fantomatiche gnocche.Il pezzo è in mainstream mondiale. Nel 2006 partecipa alla lavorazione del primo album di Karkadan,conosciuto 3 anni prima proprio allo SHOW OFF.ZANKO,oltre a 2 canzoni,realizza anche l' immancabile pezzo in beatbox .A fine 2007 partecipa al mixtape di Easykilla aka Madflex "Mas Flow Reloaded" con partecipazione di artisti di rilievo nazionale,e realizza un video a metà fra il cortometraggio e il videoclip con i suoi 3 fratelli,in cui il denominatore comune è rappresentato dal 5th element dell'HH (fratelli tutti inesorabilmente contagiati dalla passione per il beatbox).Sempre a fine 2007 il brano "Stranieri in ogni nazione" è fra i 5 finalisti del concorso europeo rivolto a artisti musulmani di seconda generazione "Express your Creativity".E' attualmente in lavorazione il suo primo album che prevede il coinvolgimento di diversi artisti della cosidetta "Seconda Generazione",cioè ragazzi figli di immigrati nati o cresciuti in Italia.ZANKO was born in MILAN,Italy,by SYRIAN parents,and grew up in the Central Station nearby,the neighbourhood in which settled the first immigrant communities in town and maybe in the whole Italy.He approaches hip hop in the 90s when he starts to co-operate with the BLACK HOUSE crew with whom he shares the passion for extrabeat rapping and several lives in which he distinguishes himself for rappin' in Arabic Italian and French(he also lived for a short time in Paris).Besides extrabeat and Arabic rap,his most remarkable peculiarity is BEATBOX.He starts being known in northern Italy in 2002 when he becomes a sort of "resident" beatboxer in the historic finest Milan's live hiphop night,THE SHOW OFF.He starts organizing the first beatbox contests in Italy and the peak comes on 1st May 2004 when he is featured by the Italian group ALMUKAWAMA in front of thousands of fans.Media start being interested in beatbox and contact Zanko for live demonstrations,his beatbox goes on Italian national channels such as MTV,ALLMUSIC,ITALIA1.In this way he becomes one of the biggest spreaders of the 5th element of HH in a country where HH has always had a hard time. At the end of 2005 he realizes that he put apart music and starts rapping back.He gets featured on the international remix of "Walk like an Egyptian" by the 3 English chicks band XSS.The track is on worldwide mainstream.In 2006 he co-operates on the first album of KARKADAN,a Tunisian rapper,in which he is featured on 2 tracks plus the inevitable beatbox track.At the end of 2007 he partecipates to the mixtape"Mas Flow Reloaed", produced by EasyKilla aka Madflex with the presence of national relevance Italian artists.In nov 2007 his song "Stranieri in ogni nazione" is among the final 5 songs challenging for the European artistic competition "Express your creativity".Always at the end of 2007 he realizes a video along with his 3 brothers,in wich beatbox plays a common role. He is working now on his first album,project that involves several "second generation" artists,born or grew in Italy from foreign parents
