About Me
Eslam Jawaad is a house hold name in middle eastern hip hop. He is the first MC to write and record in the classical Fus-Ha Arabic tounge (The language of the noble Koran) sparking off the style know as foos-hop, now widely spread around the Arab world. He is a founding member of the Dezert Dragonz, A Lebanese hip hop collective credited with being one of the founding fathers of Middle Eastern hip hop and the most politicised Arab rap group of its day. After forming the first Arab super group (ARAP) with his brothers in faith, Salah Edin (No. 1 Arab hip hop artist in the world), Cilvaringz (the only Arab member of the Wu-Tang Clan), and Palestine, Eslam has gone on to become the top toured hip hop artist from the Middle East (64 cities in 27 countries). He currently resides in the United Kingdom, where he is working on recording his first English language debut album (Featuring production by the RZA(Wu-Tang Clan), Focus (of Aftermath Entertainment), Riga, Barraccuda, Moongod, and others as well as features by Damon Albarn (Blur/Gorrilaz/The Good, The Bad, And The Queen), Hip Hop Ledgends De La Soul, the RZA, the GZA, UK Apache and others) scheduled for release in early 2007 (along with the official mixtape).
