About Me

I've been eating way too much Canadian bacon and I've practically been drinking maple syrup during this vacation. I'd better start working out again before I have to go back to Lalaland.
Canada has been so fab! Here's me hiking with my good friend Jonathan.
I love fishing in Canada.
I'm going to take the kids to Canada for the rest of the summer to visit with my parents. My dear hubby has to stay in L.A. as it's too soon to take vacation from his new job. It will so be nice to see all of my good old Canadian friends. Tad (left) and Dale (right) are a lovely couple of guys that I know. The last time I saw them was at their wedding. I can't wait to hang with them again.
We all needed a break from L.A. this weekend so we went up to Big Bear. I walked through poison ivy and now I'm friggin' itchy but other than that it was a nice day.
We've almost completely moved in!
We made it! L.A. has been great!
We're moving!!! My husband just got offered a job in L.A. and we're on our way to start our new adventures. The kids are so excited!
Leaving Juarez for the second time in my life has caused me to reminisce about my childhood there. This is me in my rebellious stage. As a teenager I was really well behaved, got straight A's and was an all around goody-goody. Then I met Chico (left) and he was a bad influence on me. My mother asked one of the cool nuns at my school to talk to me about my wicked ways. Sister Bernadette set me back on my path.
Here's me with my girls, Juanita's Bandidas Benditas. Did I ever tell you about these wonderful ladies? They're a group of local nuns who I've been training in self-defence and protective-offense. The plan is that we're going to start bustin' some ass to get the streets cleaned up for the kids in the poorer neighbourhoods near where I live. So far we've been doing pretty well and have reclaimed a lot of territory. We're fierce!
I went to Switzerland a few months ago for a break from my husband and the kids. It was so relaxing. All I did was eat and spa, spa and eat. Fabtastic! I gained about 25 lbs on this trip but lost it quick enough when I got home and had to start chasing the kids and housewifing again.
This is me and my pal Bao Xishun , the tallest man in the world, at Disneyland (or was it Disney World, I can't remember as it was a whirlwind, spur-of-the-moment jet-setter's weekend trip and we were partying all the time). He's such a cool guy.
I miss Canada sometimes. I especially miss Tim Hortons . Drinking Tim Hortons coffee is a national pastime in Canada. We all love it and will do anything for it! If you're an on-duty cop or dress like a ho they give you free coffee. Last time we visited my parents in Canada my husband took off with my purse in the car and I couldn't find enough change around the house to buy a cup. Here's me on my way to get coffee.
It's amazing who you'll run into at Tim Hortons. Here's me and the free coffee gang. We're known as the T-Hoes. OMG! I wish Betty White would get over herself one of these days. Not everybody wants your autograph hun! She's fun to hang with though.
My favourite place: On the RED CARPET! NY Fashion Week '06
I just got back from a shopping trip in Europe with one of my favourite ladies. I spent way too much. My credit cards are maxed! It was so embarassing: there we were at Emporio Armani and my card was declined. I put all my stuff back and later on at the hotel there was a knock at my door. It was Whoopi. She'd gone back and picked up all the stuff I couldn't buy and brought it to me. She is so sweet! What a great friend!
No, I wasn't ever on the show but I did visit the 90210 kids often. My friend Jenny Garth let me take her place in this publicity still while she ran to get a sandwich. And, yes, Shannen Doherty was mean to me that day.
Adiós a todos mis amigos! Good-bye Juarez! :(
After spending nearly two years back in my childhood home of Juarez, getting back in touch with old friends and family and working on business contacts for my clothing boutique I am following my dear husband to his new job in Los Angeles, with kids in tow. It's going to take a lot of getting used to but we'll manage. I will miss Mexico dearly.
I have a big blended family (7 children) who I love a lot. They get on my nerves often but I wouldn't trade them for anything.
I like to pretend I'm Lucy Ricardo sometimes. No kidding! I dress up! So does my husband (as Ricky not Lucy)! AND!!! He finally let me in the show!!! My hubby and I started a Lucy and Ricky skit show back in Canada and perform at clubs once in a while when we go home to visit my Mom and my Dad.
I'm a people person and it gives me great joy to know you all!
Luv and hugs, Juanita

My namesake, great-great-aunt Nita (right). Contrary to popular belief Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables books were not autobiographical but based on her close friend Nita's adventures. This is a candid snap of Nita and Diana Barry bogarting Marilla's raspberry cordial.
This is Sister Bernadette trying to get me to let go of poor little Manuel's ear. (I had a crush on him.) Sister Bernadette was such a wonderful person. I almost became a nun because of her.
The New Me! I had a great time last week on the coast. I was in L.A. a while back where TLC was doing a special on-location fix-it-all-in-a-day What Not to Wear Special. I was just minding my business, shopping for the kids, and Stacey and Clinton jumped out at me from outta nowhere. I can't say I love the flat hair that Nick gave me but the dress was fab and Carmindy really evened out my skin tone. I didn't get the full $5000, just one dress. Now, I didn't even need a makeover, eh? But, I'm glad I went along with it! It was a thrill! Stacey and Clinton are angels!
Oh WOW! I didn't really like what Nick Arrojo did to my hair so I asked my daughter to fix it. She's 4. She usually does a great job on my colouring and bleaching so I thought she'd be great with a home perm too. I was right. It's amazing, eh?
I just got back from Vegas. It was so much fun. Here's me at the Liberace Center. It's where his museum is and it's a strip mall. You can buy hookahs, Middle Eastern groceries and timeshares before or after your museum tour.
Here's me doing my bit for the community, spreading laughter and joy as Ms Lucille Ball at a local old folks home. This poor ol'e doll was a bit of a sad case. Senile dementia, I think. She was all like "Get away hellish she-demon, get away!". I was all like, what's up with that?. She was a cutie so I spent extra time at her bedside cheering her up. This photo was taken after her meds kicked in. We had a blast!
I met Mary-Kate and Ashley at a charity gala last year. They acted just like the lady at the old folks home but were fine after their meds kicked in too. Must be something going around??? Those girls are funny! It was fun to hang with them. I still don't know which one is which.
I love Arizona so much. It's my spiritual home. We may move to Phoenix one day soon.
The happiest day of my life!!! I caught a 20 lb. rainbow trout! Then I got married which was OK too, I guess.
Girl's night out! Me and my best betches, Doris (left) and Kiki (middle). We're pretty well behaved but get into trouble sometimes. We've been friends for forever. I love these girls!
Younger days! Me, before I had the kids.
Where did my youth go? Me, after I had the kids.
One of my hobbies is breaking world records. Here's me at the World's Largest Pillow Fight! OMG! I had so much fun that day!
I recently did Trading Spouses. It was great! I learned a lot of valuable lessons and I fell in love with my host family. They were so wonderful. We got along so well the producers said that it "wasn't good TV" and that the episode will never air. :(
Shopping with the mother-in-law :p She's such a... well, you can tell from just looking at her, can't you? She never thought I was good enough for her son.
OMG! Last week these naz-T betches that I carpool with invited me to a costume party. I never thought they liked me much (jealous, I think) so as a show of friendship I accepted. I show up, and guess what, it wasn't a costume party! They were just out to embarrass me. Instead of going all Carrie on their asses I held my head high and enjoyed the evening. My ears and tail were a big hit anyway and I showed 'em!
Thank you Captain Scratch! I'm very proud of these accomplishments.
Wow Pam! Thanks so much! This is so fab! Hugs!!!
