About Me

Minnesota native Kristian Anderson (b.1974) is an accomplished concert guitarist with over twenty years of playing experience. He has performed in Europe, across North America and has appeared live on WRR 101.1 FM Classical in Dallas, TX and WMNF 88.5 FM in Tampa, FL. Critics have hailed his performances, describing his talents as “show stopping” (dallasmusic.com) and encompassing “prodigious virtuosity” (Soundboard). Kristian is a three-time First Prize winner at various prominent international guitar competitions, namely the Portland Guitar Competition (Oregon), Appalachian State Competition (North Carolina), and the Columbus Guitar Competition (Georgia). Other awards have included an array of academic honors, scholarships and teaching assistantships given by Florida State University, Arizona State University, University of North Texas, and the Stetson International Guitar Workshop. His experience as a chamber musician is equally as strong. As a founding member of the internationally renowned Tantalus Quartet, Kristian has been invited to perform at the Iserlohn Guitar Symposium in Germany (the largest guitar festival in Europe), as well as various other important festivals, guitar societies and colleges across North America.
