Music, because of its specific and far-reaching metaphorical powers, can name the unnamable and communicate the unknowable. -Leonard Bernstein,
Hi, my dad has set up this artist page and maintains it for me, so that I can make contacts with people in the music scene. I am 12 years old and have been playing the guitar since I was four. As long as I can remember I have wanted to be a musician, especially a guitar player. I also want to learn to play other stringed instruments and the piano.
My goals now are to become a professional musician making my living through music. I am planning on going to the best music school in the world, University of North Texas, but I would like to be playing as a full time professional guitarist before I get accepted to a university. I really enjoy attend jams whenever possible, playing anything and learning anything from blues to bluegrass, rock to classical. I have attended several jams, but sometimes find it hard to go to the jams because they are in bars…they sometimes have a problem with people under 18. The coolest so far was Jammin with Jackie Don Loe on my 10th birthday. Since I am homeschooled, my schedule can be pretty flexible, so I can stay up late sometimes and jam. I would love to find places in the DFW area that would let a young guitarist come and jam, so if you know of any places let me know. If you are interested in setting up a young people friendly (not necessarily exclusive to young people) jam in our area (north of Dallas), maybe we can get something set up. I am pretty goofy, silly, even a little twitchy…you know a kid, but you put a guitar in my hands and I get pretty serious.
Hope you enjoy the music and stop by a lot. I am hoping to be able change some of the songs out at least once a month (my dad and I have to learn more about the recording software). I have so pretty challenging tunes in the works that I am hoping to get up on my site soon.
Thanks for stopping by…The Bouncing Guitard…Adam!
I would like to say thank you to the University of North Texas Guitar and Bass club and Fred Hamilton, for being so kind and generous. Through there work and clinics I have been able to meet many amazing guitarist, ask questions and absorb information. Thanks for letting a kid come and join in!
