Bio
In 2003, Rami & Markus started jamming together with an another guitarist Mikko. Even though Markus’ main instrument had been guitar, he started playing drums. The guys were frustrated, because an appropriate candidate to handle the sticks was just way too hard to find. Fortunately, Markus wasn’t a first-timer behind the drumkit, as he had played drums since he was a little kid. Then there was a band with two guitarists and a drummer…and nobody wanted to sing.
Mikko left the group in –05, leaving Rami, Markus and bass player Santtu with only one guitarist. They were eagerly looking for a decent singer, until Santtu called it quits and left the band. After that, Rami decided to take action and he wanted to do the vocals.
In January 2007 Aleksi joined the gang to play bass. He was an old friend from high-school, so there was no extra tension to get to know each others. The 20-year old guys Rami, Markus & Aleksi started calling themselves as Liv Animal. They began to throw gigs in local bars and pubs in the suburbs of Espoo and Helsinki and they were immediately discovered by the youngsters in Espoo.
The band's plain sound reminds of classic rock n’ roll, as well as grunge, and there’s also a hint of blues in every song. If it’s not in the melody or the chords, it’s in the lyrics.
In The Future:
Liv Animal will be focused on more and more live-shows and their obvious goal is to record an album. If they can’t sign a proper record deal, LA will eventually publish their material on their own. So don’t worry, it’s just a matter of time…and cash!
