Misleds properly formed after Ms. Led became a part of the band in late summer 2004. Before this Dave Marshall and Jimmy Rey had played together with drummer Alex Kidd and experimented with different singers, never quite finding the exact sound they were looking for. A back-up singer also joined the band and recordings of a first minor demo begun in November 2004, after which it was time for the first gig in December. The beginning of the year 2005 consisted mostly of rehearsing new material and playing some gigs. Around June, 2005 the back-up singer changed and drummer Alex informed the band that his future lies elsewhere. Ms. Led, Dave and Jimmy then thought to contact Don Komone, who was residing in the Netherlands at the time and ask about his interests in playing in the band once he got home. Which he did.
Before long it was time for the back-up singer to change again, this time to Miss Fisty, who brought along with her the element of keyboards into the band. September 1st the new members were introduced to a live audience, just after two weeks of rehearsing together. Later in the fall / early winter the recording of "Ragdoll" begun. Fortunately this recording was put together far quicker than the first demo, and the single was out and about in February 2006. The next six months comprised intense gigging and writing of new material. Last summer it was Miss Fisty’s turn to quit the band. Again, after some time, trouble and experimenting the band was a quintet again. The latest member of Misleds is of course Ms. Teri.
In the fall gigging continued and the band went into the studio to record the second single "Funkbuddy", which was officially released in December. The songs from the single got some airplay on some Finnish radio stations and even more intense touring ensued.
February 2008 brings to us, and you, another single called "Bipolar". Check out the mellow grooves on the player above! In the future there’ll be a whole lot of gigs and even more hard work to spread the groovy word!
