Dave's Sandwich Bitches

We are three cool-ass chics who love. . . no, adore . . . no, obsessively worship Dave Matthews! WE LOVE HIM! So, you are probably wondering what is with the whole "sandwich bitch" thing, right? Well, here's the story: Traditionally, after a DMB concert, we do not want to add to the polution of our environment and get bored sitting in traffic for 3 hours trying to get out. So, instead, we do post-show tailgating. We break out the chairs and the coolers and have ourselves some sandwiches and beverages. Then after the traffic starts to thin out, we pack up and head out. A few years back, a random DMB fan who was lost and pretty messed up, stumbled upon our post-show tailgating. We got to talking, and it turned out he was hungry. So, we made him a bologna sandwich. He was most appreciative, and set out stumbling into the darkness with a full stomach. We all felt quite satisfied with the selfless act of providing this fellow DMB fan with some sustinence to get him through the challenge of finding his way to his seemingly missing vehicle and friends. Over time, our tradition has evolved into providing sandwiches to random DMB fans as they sit in their vehicles, motors running, and not moving more than 3 inches in an hour. It is funny how much difference a bologna sandwich can make. It makes the hungry person happy, it makes us happy, and we hope that it makes Dave happy to think that his fans are out there supporting and taking care of one another. So there you have it. . . We decided that this tradition has become so much a part of our DMB concert experience that we needed to give ourselves a name. . . we came up with Dave's Sandwich Bitches. We think it has a nice ring to it. Our ultimate dream is to someday serve Dave himself a bologna sandwich. Much love to all DMB fans!
