Anyone who isn't a creep.
Everything. And that's probably why GI never made it into the top ten. I like everything except for opera and country. But the orchestral selections from opera can be cool. But when it comes down to it I mostly like all things heavy, including 70s and 80s punk and metal (some), and the less commercial electronic stuff that came out mostly in the 70s and 90s. And Minor Threat, did I mention Minor Threat?! Jimi Hendrix!
Jazz: mostly stuff from the late 50s to the early 70s. Miles Davis from 1965 until 1974, John Coltrane from his Atlantic years on up. Just about everything on Blue Note.
Rock: Hard rock from the early 70s. Some hair bands from the eighties. Iron Maiden. Every note Jimi Hendrix ever played. As I also said, punk from the late seventies and eighties, with an emphasis on harDCore. I have a healthy collection of late seventies UK punk 45s. And a freakishly large collection of punk LPs and 45s from the eighties. I also can't explain my attraction to Krautrock (Can) and Sonic Youth. I like Japanese/Audiophile vinyl of rock from all eras (late 60s to present). I can also be found listening to 70s prog every now and then.
Classical: From the mid 19th century on up, with an emphasis on power orchestral. Mahler. Bruckner. I have a huge collection of audiophile vinyl, EMI, RCA, Mercury, etc., etc. Also a large collection of 20th (and 21st) century composers on vinyl and CD. Kronos Quartet. Bang on a Can.
Electronic: GOA and psychedelic trance from the mid 90s. Hallucinogen. IDM such as Autechre and everything on Warp especially mid 90s stuff. Drum and Bass especially Ed Rush and Optical. Krautrock electronic from the early 70s such as Cluster, Harmonia, Klaus Schulze, Edgar Froese and Tangerine Dream (not TD's new age crap that they did later). Kraftwerk, from their krautrock origins to the present.
