At age 23, Austin Weiss is considered, even by seasoned professionals in the motorcycle industry, to be among the next generation of outstanding bike designers and builders.Austin is one of the 6 chosen Master builders that is on the 2007 Easyrider Events Centerfold tour. This made Austin the Youngest Master builder in History.Austin is certified in welding by the American Welding Society in numerous positions for TIG, MIG, SMAW. He worked as a head fabricator at one of South Florida's leading bike builders, before venturing on his own and starting his own Streamline Designs in 2005. Austin's vision, talent, and creativity, his extraordinary welding ability and engineering skills, and his impeccable attention to detail are illustrated by his first bike, "Gett'in Loose", which has recently won him several awards.In October 2005, Austin won the "Editor's Choice" award for American Iron magazine and is featured on the front cover of the July Issue on news stands now. At the same time, he was also recognized by the international Rat's Hole. In November, 2005, he won First Place in the Semi-Finals for Florida's Next Top Builder for the Hardrock Tour. He has also was invited to participate in the world finals at the AMD Proshow in Sturgis. The bike "Hotrod" was built to show a little oldschool with alot of new. The bike placed 1st in Metzler/American Iron show Bike week 2006. It will be featured on the cover of Easyriders Magazine.Austin finished a bike for BUDLIGHT in 2006 to promote there new aluminum bottle. The bike will go on tour and be shown all over the country.Austin built a bike for the Rapper "LIL JON" http://www.myspace.com/kingliljon. His bike is going to be one of the toughest bikes to date cause alot of new designs are making there way into the build. From completly 3D wheels to a totally one off frame, Austin really thinks Lil Jon will be happy with his choices. Can anyone say Diamond Cut heads and a gold .530 chain to match. The bike is being totally designed around his height and weight to make the bike perfect for him to ride and feature in a upcoming video.Austin's design philosophy is one of clean, uniform and flowing bike design. His designs feature pristine lines, while concealing any hardware which would diminish the beauty of the bike's lines.
Every bike features one off sheetmetal gas tanks and seat areas along with front and rear fenders along with a belly area. All of this is competely hand formed out of sheetmetal. Then TIG welded for a minimum amount of body work. Austin using his Power Hammer and English wheel can creat a work of art to anyones designs or his own.
