About Me
PHEEZE BIOGRAPHY“Pheeze†, named Gilbert Stevens , was born in Phoenix, Arizona , January 5, 1983 , but raised in the streets of Surprise, Arizona . Growing up with single mother , Tilly Aguilar , Pheeze never had a father figure to learn from and look up to .By the age of 14 , Pheeze dropped out of school in the eighth grade , trading classrooms for the streets . Little did he know his hip hop career would begin here . Pheeze soon met “Ant-One†a.k.a. Antione Gillespie , a young hustler and street poet from the streets of Chi-town . Pheeze and Ant-One became close friends . In time Ant-One noticed something special in Pheeze . He couldn’t believe , Pheeze , a Latin kid from Surprise, Arizona , would have such a delivery in flow mimicking hip hop greats , such as Nas , Kool G Rap , and Mobb Deep . Ant-One then took Pheeze under his wing and began teaching him the fundamentals of rhyming . Pheeze , a fast learner , would excel above and beyond Ant-One’s expectations . Pheeze and Ant-One would then write to main stream beats and perform at local high schools and teen nights at local community centers . Despite dropping out of school , Pheeze developed a high degree of literacy that would later characterize his rhymes . At the same time , though , he delved into the street culture and flirted with danger , such experiences similarly characterizing his rhymes . Due to a life of crime and now doing time , Ant-One would then depart from Pheeze .At the age of 16 , Pheeze developed a small fan base by rhyming at local house parties . People were amazed of the lyrical talent and animated delivery that young Pheeze had . Word soon spread of this local rap phenomenon . One day at a friends house , Pheeze came across a young man by the name of “Grinch†, who was also a local rap artist . After vibing and exchanging rhymes , back and forth , Grinch was also amazed of Pheeze’s talents . Soon making Pheeze an artist to his independent label named “ GrinchAboutIt†records . Pheeze hit the studio booth immediately . After a year of recording an album was finally completed . Age 17 , Pheeze released the album titled “Loud and Clear†. Unfortunately the album was unsuccessful due to poor promotions . Pheeze , frustrated and disappointed , left the booth and hung his mic .After six years of struggle and surviving street life , at age 23 , Pheeze would come back to the booth with a vengeance . Pheeze at the top of his game , with his lyrical and storytelling flows , is an artist defiantly “Fit For The Majors†.
