We first started playing together in the summer of 2005, as a means to pass time and just have some musical fun. We wrote progressive rock originals and played a handful of shows. This continued on and off until the winter/spring of 2007, when things kind of fell into place for Origins. We dropped our library of songs and decided to start from scratch, with a completely new style. We used to focus mostly on the technical side of music writing, but it began to become repetitive and restricting. We feel now that our music writing has become more accessible to us and our listeners, and who can argue with increased enjoyment in the things you do? We have just recently finished our concept ep, "Anthrosects in Effigy" which to us is six tracks of intense, scary, and dark rock and roll.
