VAGRANT (aka John Von Glaubitz, aka Slim Jinkins)

Come see Vagrant and Bunjii 10/24 at Millcreek.

About Me

Vagrant is the sound of a wanderer returning to his rock roots. An idea whose rejection by the mainstream lead to an endless sojourn, drifting from one philosophy to another, one aesthetic to the next. Every attempt to find a home reminds him why he left the last one. Every attempt to become a part of a group makes him more of a loner, brings his alienation into sharper focus. In the end, the wanderer must accept his fate and embrace the journey. "The most submissive thing in the world can ride roughshod over the most unyielding in the world - that which is without substance entering that which has no gaps." - Lao Tzu

Vagrant's alter ego, Slim Jinkins, is guitarist and occasionally producer for the up-and-coming New Jersey hip-hop cross-over super-group, Bunjii. This eight-piece monster is among the most powerful shows in hip-hop history and is equally prolific in the studio. If you don't know about them, you will soon.
Vagrant's secret identity, John Glaubitz, is a composer and sound designer for local theater and dance productions and a teacher of all things musical. Keep an eye out during this year's Fringe Fest for John's next collaboration with choreographer Stephen Welsh. Then later this fall, he will be composing and doing sound design for the Flashpoint Theatre Company's production of Matt Pelfrey's "An Impending Rupture of the Belly", directed by Michael Osinski. This will be the Philadelphia premier and will run Oct 29th through Nov 22.
Now, check out my new collaborations with Dante Bucci, virtuoso of the amazing new instrument, the Hang drum. CD coming very soon!!
