I started to listen metal music in 1985, when I saw and heared for the first time the fucking classical Iron Maiden´s "The Number of the Beast". After 4 years listening, headbanging and metal crusades to know new bands (the metal reality in Brazil was very hard and each tape or lp was like a conquer) I decided to start my own band. I was the lead vocals. My first band was called Bloodsoaked. My second one was Crucis. Both bands had few life time. Lack of experience, good musicians and other normal problems caused this death. In 1989 finally was started a band called Infernal Corrosion, a band influenced for the extreme metal bands like Napalm Death, SOB, Possessed, Death, Celtic Frost, Kreator, Hellhammer, Venom. A more grind music was natural. After two years, the music band turned into more death metal and the name was changed to Decomposed. Two demo tapes was released "Key of Immortality" (1991) and "Dawn of Celestial Shadows" (1993). The band received very good reviews and was invited to join the double LP compilation "Death is just... the end". After it, in 1994 I left the band and after some months was invited to make a test in the Brazilian death metal masters Sanctifier. I joined like vocals. The band recorded two reh. demo tapes and two official demo tapes "Ad Perpetuan Rei Memorian" (1993) and "Hymns of Hypocrisy" (1995). "Ad Perpetuan..." was released in 7´ep format by the greek label Molon Lave Records (under the name Hellspawn) and after this release the band broked. In the end of 1997 a new band was created under the name As the Shadows Fall, a satanic and pure homage to darkness and evil. This time I decided to try spread my hate like drummer. A hellish change. The first gig was with the deathsters of Krisiun. The first demo tape was released just in 1998 and was called "...For the Rising of a Pagan Age", a demo that received very positive reviews of magazines, zines and hellbangers around the world. In 2002, with a new line-up, was recorded a self-titled demo tape, with 10 tracks. Most brutal, raw and direct music was presented to the hordes of chaos. ATSF was included in the cd compilation "The Winds of a New Millenium" with an unreleased track called "Total Destruction". Several concerts was realized around Brazil, sharing the stage with bands like Krisiun, Rotting Christ, Govanon, Torture Squad, Mausoleum, Pantáculo Místico, Malkuth, Amen Corner, Mysteriis, Miasthenia, Vultos Vociferos, Morcrof, Bestymator... In 2004, ATSF returned to the sepulture and awaits dreaming... Before ATSF fall into sleep again, Sanctifier decided to back to scene and spread the tentacles of Cthulhu around the scene. After some concerts with bands like Mystifier, Vader, Imperious Malevolence, Infested Blood, Headhunter DC and others... Finally in 2004 was recorded and released the debut Sanctifier CD. Intitled "Awaked by Impurity Rites", this cd was a tribute to the horror master H.P. Lovecraft and to the old school death metal scene. With 10 tracks, including an Acheron´s cover to "Thou Art Lord", the cd was released in Brazil and Japan (with distribution around the world) by Dying Music Records and Weird Truth Records. In the end of 2004, I decided to leave the band. In 2006 I moved to another city, Brasília/DF and joined the deathsters of NAILED CROWN, a banda absolutely influenced by the old school death metal. Now, the work continues and the flames are burning again... Always with hate, pride, honour and respect...
