About Me

I'm a local acoustic artist in Arizona. For now, I play all my tunes completely solo. Just little ol' me on my gee-tar. In addition to writing passionate, honest, emotion-filled songs, I cover a lot of alternative artists like Fuel, Goo Goo Dolls, Keane, Lifehouse, Oasis, Gin Blossoms, The Fray, and more like them. For now... that's my bio until I get more time to invest into this little box that I'm not really even sure people read all that often. If you want a more extensive, humorous, thoughtful Band Bio, then vote in my "Comments". If I only get like two comments, then I know it's probably not all that worth the time. But I might be surprised. We'll see! To contact me via e-mail for BOOKING, get added to my mailing list for a regular NEWSLETTER, or to CONTACT for any other reason, you may e-mail me at --- [email protected] ____________________________________________________________ __ALL ORIGINAL MUSIC AND LYRICS COPYRIGHT © 2007 EMILY SWAINE ____________________________________________________________ __

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: emilyswaine.com
Band Members: Me + my guitar__________The beautiful and talented Cambria Lane accompanied me on my album. She’s the one who sings all the pretty harmonies; and Jon Lefebve of Peppermint James completed the songs with the fabulous percussion you hear in "Confusing" and "Another Day"__________ If you like what you hear, ADD ME AS A FRIEND__________ And, remember, you can order my cd online for $5 by clicking on the "Buy Now" button above the picture of my cd!
Influences: The smell of rain, falling in love, hope, disasters, fights with friends, making up after fights with friends, picture albums, good books, long talks with people I love, roses with dew on them, family, friends who have become family, God, wondering if there is God, realizing that there's got to be, and the constant frustrating cycle of the two...On a lighter note: Peanut M&M's right out of the freezer, youTube, chunky middle-aged women who think they look hot in middrift halter tops and skin-tight jeans, alarm clocks (and the joy I get when I can shut it off and sleep in), and Cosmo Cramer (I mean, c'mon!) real editor: best profile tools : real editor: best profile tools :

Marco Polo in the Cornfields

Ever since I was little I have always had this fascination with cornfields. Sure, laugh, but, you see, I'm a city girl for sure. The only one I really see more than like once a year is the random litt...

Does this this pew make me look fat?

So, here's the problem with church - too many church people. I know that's a rather large generalization. Many of my favorite people in my life go to church. But right now, I happen to be in a cy...

Ravi Shankar?! Seriously?!... and something about ice-breaking honesty

First of all, did you know that Ravi Shankar, as in the famous sitar player, is Norah Jones’ father?! Holy CRAP! Talk about something good coming from, well... a sitar play.....

Hot Off The Press

Greetings. It's been a while since I've blogged. It's the result of having way too much to do, and far too little time. And don't get all excited because this isn't a fun, intellectually stimulat...

Am I sick or am I sane?

Am I all out of faith? Or just all out of luck? It's funny how at the end of the day Nothing really seems quite so simple As it did with the sun rise    Blow the dust off the old black book ...

"Tivo" for Time

There are times in life when you want time to stop. When life is better than you thought it could ever be. Everything seems to be perfect. You don't really know how it got there, but it is. The shame ...

American Gangster

I went and saw a movie tonight. The choice was "American Gangster". It seemed like a good movie from the previews and it has Denzel Washington in it, who I think is a phenominal actor. So, that w...
