Band Members: Over the many years of it's musical endeavor PER DIEM has had the pleasure to accompany a handful of great musicians. It's almost as if PER DIEM manifests itself in the musicians themselves and was never created by artistic-man in the first place. Each of us have a normal life,... well normal in our own minds I suppose. When ever we can actually get together to make some music, which lately seems to be few and far between meetings we come up with some interesting things musically that we think others will enjoy. Everything that we sing about is just kinda what happens everyday.
Terry Amos works at the local Home Depot; Javier Seanz at WalMart, not a super one, so please don't ditch us too quickly (hey we all need jobs huh?); Nate L. Smith at the Grouse Mt. Lodge and me,... well I am currently unemployed at the moment. 'Somehow' the 'economy' started suckin'. Whatever. I guess we're kinda like realists. We have realized that unless we somehow get noticed, (we haven't even done a decent show yet) that we'll be doin' what we're doin' now for the rest of our lives when what we're best at is playin' music for the world. What you hear is each of our attempts to give homage to this idea she/he believes that PER DIEM is attempting to attain through Earths musical humans. Until she happens upon another planet, these are PER DIEMs pilots.
Influences: Influences,... Whatever. Look,... whatever sounds good. All people who have ever and who still are a part of PER DIEM like such a variety of music it's impossible to even begin speaking of influences. We ask that you come to your own conclusions on this one. I think it'll be more fun that way anyhow.
Sounds Like: ...Thunder, rain, clouds, cars on the street, campfires, kids playing,... Well, no ones quite sure if all the above statements actually fit the bill or not, but they, (the sounds) vary greatly from song to song. You'll have to give it a listen and derive yourself what you think PER DIEM sounds like. You may or may not like it though so be prepared.
